About the role#
This internship is based at our Morgan Hill, California design center. You will work alongside our RF engineering team to support product development and R&D activities for high power GaN transistor products. This is a paid, full-time, on-site role.
What you'll do#
- Characterize high power GaN transistor products.
- Operate RF test bench software and Digital Predistortion testers.
- Handle and bias RF devices to capture accurate data.
- Process data collected from testing.
- Design an impedance matching network for a GaN device using MWO or ADS software.
- Layout matching networks in AutoCAD.
- Assemble, solder components, and tune circuits on the RF bench.
- Present your project successes and pitfalls at a poster session.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a BS or MS program for Electrical Engineering.
- A strong interest in RF, microwave, and semiconductor devices.
- Relevant academic coursework or lab experience.
- A willingness to work hands-on in the lab to test devices and assemble RF PCBs.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
