About the role#
As an RF Electrical Engineering Intern, you will join our engineering team to help characterize new products within our NPI process flow. You will work alongside experienced engineers and technicians to gain practical experience in an engineering test laboratory. This role involves learning both theoretical and hands-on approaches to DC and RF measurements.
What you'll do#
- Perform measurements including S-Parameters, DC and RF pulse power, IP3, IP2, P1dB, harmonics, thermal imaging, and switching speed.
- Operate test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, peak power analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, pulse generators, power supplies, power meters, SMU’s, and multi-meters.
- Complete an individual and well-defined test project.
- Participate in an intern webinar series and attend networking and social events.
- Present your project successes and pitfalls at a poster session.
- Receive formal, written feedback on your performance.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree program in Electronics or Electrical Engineering.
- US citizenship or permanent residency status is required due to ITAR restrictions.
- Knowledge of circuit theory, analog electronics, and electromagnetic fields theory.
- Familiarity with wireless communications, semiconductor physics, and semiconductor manufacturing.
