About the role#
As a Packaging Engineer Intern, you will join our engineering team in Morrisville. You will work alongside experienced engineers who provide mentoring and guidance throughout your time with us. This role involves taking ownership of a well-defined project with specific goals, allowing you to gain practical experience while building professional relationships.
What you'll do#
- Complete an individual project with set outcome goals.
- Gain hands-on experience under professional supervision.
- Attend an intern webinar series and various networking events.
- Present your project successes and pitfalls at a poster session.
- Receive formal, written feedback on your performance.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor or master degree program for Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Ability to work well on a team and communicate effectively.
- Understanding of mechanical design and technical drawing creation.
- Knowledge of Statistical Process Control, Design of Experiments, and Process Improvement Methodology.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with CAD software, preferably AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
- Familiarity with thermal modeling and finite element analysis, with ANSYS experience being a plus.
- U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident status.
