About the role#
As a member of the RF Power Product Design team, you will work from our Morgan Hill Design Center. You will collaborate with experienced engineers on GaN transistor products for markets like 5G and base stations. This role involves a defined project where you will gain hands-on experience, receive training, and present your project results at a poster session.
What you'll do#
- Design RF power devices and perform EM simulations.
- Handle RF devices and manage biasing.
- Capture accurate RF data.
- Design and layout impedance matching networks using AutoCAD and design software.
- Assemble, solder, and tune circuits on the RF bench.
- Compare measured performance data against design simulations.
- Participate in intern webinars and networking events.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program for Electrical Engineering.
- A strong interest in RF, microwave, and semiconductor devices.
- Relevant lab work or coursework.
- A willingness to work hands-on in the lab to test devices and assemble amplifiers.
- Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of Linear Circuit Theory, Transmission-line Theory, and Smith Charts.
