About the role#
This is a full-time internship where you will support the quality engineering team with failure investigations. You will work on customer-related issues and help maintain the data behind these analyses. You will also manage the lifecycle of customer returns, from planning to execution. This role involves working across teams including circuit design, process, and product engineering.
What you'll do#
- Perform DC electrical testing, circuit troubleshooting, fault isolation, and micro-probing.
- Create and document step-by-step testing procedures for specific product families.
- Write comprehensive 8D reports to communicate quality and reliability findings.
- Partner with the application team to test returns based on bench analysis.
- Help identify opportunities to improve quality systems, products, and processes.
- Manage your own analysis projects from start to finish.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a B.S. or M.S. program for Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Knowledge of semiconductor fabrication, inspection, assembly, and test methods.
- Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team and present your findings clearly.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
- You must be a U.S. Person to meet ITAR requirements.
- Experience with semiconductor processing and analysis equipment is helpful.

- This position is based on-site in Newport Beach, California.
- The internship is paid and operates on a rolling basis.
