About the role#
As an Embedded Hardware/Controls Intern on the RF Pallet Design team, you will work alongside experienced engineers who provide mentoring and guidance. You will take ownership of a business-critical project with defined goals, gain hands-on experience, and receive formal feedback. The program includes an intern webinar series, networking events, and a final poster session where you will present your project work.
What you'll do#
- Complete an individual project with set outcome goals.
- Work in a lab environment to test and verify circuit designs.
- Collaborate with layout, mechanical, process, and electrical engineers.
- Build professional relationships across the team.
- Present your project successes and challenges at a poster session.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program in Electrical Engineering or a similar field.
- Understanding of microprocessor-controlled systems including voltage regulators, sensors, and communication protocols.
- Ability to analyze and resolve technical problems.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience or coursework in power supply design, analog control circuits, and state machine design.
- Familiarity with I2C, SPI, and CAN interface design.
- Ability to design circuitry using op-amps, latch logic, power controllers, RF device sequencers, temperature sensors, and envelope detectors.
