About the role#
As an EHS Intern at MACOM, you will join our team to gain hands-on experience in environmental, health, and safety practices. You will work alongside experienced professionals who provide mentoring and guidance throughout your time with us. This role involves taking ownership of a business-critical project while building professional relationships across the organization.
What you'll do#
- Research best practices to develop a corporate business continuity framework and provide recommendations based on your findings.
- Create framework templates for departments and help them understand requirements to build their own continuity plans.
- Identify potential workplace hazards and support the implementation of safety measures.
- Monitor compliance with EHS regulations and help ensure continuous adherence to standards.
- Investigate EHS incidents, perform root cause analysis, and develop corrective actions.
- Prepare for and participate in EHS audits and inspections.
- Lead initiatives to improve proactive prevention and focus on the development of a lock out tag out (LOTO) program.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program in a field related to EHS.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Basic project management capabilities.
- A strong work ethic and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

- This is an on-site, full-time, paid internship located in Lowell, Massachusetts.
- The term is rolling.
