About the role#
As a Diodes Product Engineering Intern, you will work with experienced engineers and technicians to characterize new products within our NPI process flow. This position offers an opportunity to learn the practical and theoretical approach to performing DC and RF measurements. You will gain hands-on experience in an engineering test laboratory while receiving training and supervision throughout your time with us.
What you'll do#
- Characterize new products as part of the NPI process flow.
- Perform DC and RF measurements, including S-Parameters, pulse power, IP3, IP2, P1dB, harmonics, thermal imaging, and switching speed.
- Operate and set up test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, peak power analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, pulse generators, power supplies, power meters, SMU’s, and multi-meters.
- Complete an individual test project with defined goals.
- Learn about our products and their operation.
- Attend the intern webinar series and participate in networking or social events.
- Present your project successes and pitfalls at a poster session.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree program in Electronics or Electrical Engineering.
- Status as a US citizen or US permanent resident, as this role is subject to ITAR restrictions.
- Knowledge in areas such as circuit theory, analog electronics, electromagnetic fields theory, wireless communications, semiconductor physics, or semiconductor manufacturing is helpful.

- This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship based in Lowell, Massachusetts.
- The position follows a rolling term schedule.
