About the role#
MACOM is looking for a Design Engineer Intern to join our Analog and Mixed Signal Design team. You will support the development of integrated circuits for optical communications. This is a 12-week internship where you will work on an individual project with clear goals, receive training, and participate in a poster session to present your work.
What you'll do#
- Investigate circuit architectures.
- Design, analyze, and simulate circuit blocks such as Bandgap References, Charge Pumps, ADCs, and DACs.
- Perform integrated circuit layout.
- Conduct electrical measurements in the lab.
- Present design reviews to the engineering team.
What you'll need#
- You must be currently pursuing an MSEE or PhD in Analog or Mixed Signal circuit design.
- Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate well and work effectively in a team.
- Experience with Cadence Virtuoso and Spectre design tools is a plus.

- This position is located in Newport Beach, California.
- The role is on-site and full-time.
- This is a paid internship.
