About the role#
LPL Financial is seeking interns for the Business Development team for the Summer 2027 term. This is a 10-week, full-time program running from June 1, 2027, to August 6, 2027. Business Development serves as the primary point of contact between LPL and financial advisors. Interns in this role help build connections with advisors interested in our recruitment services and assist in driving lead flow to support sales growth.
What you'll do#
- Gain exposure to company systems, databases, and internal applications.
- Participate in process walkthroughs that follow department and professional standards.
- Manage various assignments and projects to practice project management skills.
- Expand your professional knowledge through training and online courses.
- Interact with management from across various business units.
- Participate in summer programming, including lunch and learns, career workshops, and social events.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree program with an expected graduation date of December 2027 or May 2028.
- An interest in the sales and business development industry.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and Salesforce CRM.
- A goal-oriented mindset and an eagerness to learn.
Location & details#
- Locations: Fort Mill, South Carolina; Charlotte, North Carolina; or Tempe, Arizona.
- Modality: Hybrid, requiring 2-3 days per week in the office.
- Compensation: This is a paid, full-time position working 40 hours per week.
- Eligibility: Candidates must be local to the office location. We are unable to provide sponsorship for this position.
