About the role#
LPL Financial is seeking a Data Engineering Intern for a 10-week summer program. You will work with data engineering, analytics, and product teams to build and optimize platforms that power business intelligence and AI-driven decision-making. This full-time, paid internship runs from June 1, 2027, to August 6, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Build and maintain data pipelines to ingest, process, and transform data from multiple sources.
- Support the development of data warehouses, lakes, and reporting solutions.
- Analyze and monitor data to ensure accuracy, quality, and reliability.
- Partner with engineers, analysts, and product managers to support AI use cases and analytics.
- Document data architectures, technical specifications, and workflows.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- Understanding of data modeling, data quality concepts, and transformation.
- Ability to identify trends and support data-driven decision-making.
- Interest in translating business needs into data products.
- Curiosity regarding machine learning and intelligent technologies.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site role located in Austin, Texas, Fort Mill, South Carolina, or Charlotte, North Carolina.
- The position is full-time, 40 hours per week.
