About the role#
As a Store Operations Support intern, you will gain hands-on experience supporting the strategies and processes that help Lowe’s stores operate effectively. You will work alongside Store Operations professionals and cross-functional partners to understand how corporate strategies translate into actionable plans for stores. This role involves project-based work to identify opportunities to simplify execution, improve operational consistency, and support associates to create a better experience for customers.
What you'll do#
- Support the planning, coordination, communication, and execution of store operations initiatives.
- Evaluate current processes to identify opportunities to simplify work and improve execution at the store level.
- Analyze operational data, store feedback, and business trends to develop recommendations.
- Understand how store execution impacts associate productivity, customer experience, and business performance.
- Support project timelines, deliverables, documentation, and stakeholder communication.
- Develop communications, resources, or implementation materials to support store teams.
- Gather feedback from stores and business partners to understand execution challenges.
- Collaborate with partners across Store Operations, Merchandising, Supply Chain, Technology, and Marketing.
- Use data to measure the effectiveness of operational initiatives.
- Present project findings, insights, and recommendations to business partners and leadership.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Retail Management, Analytics, Project Management, or a related field.
- Expected graduation date of December 2027 or May 2028.
- 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret data and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a cross-functional team environment.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Interest or experience in retail operations, project management, process improvement, or business analytics.
- Previous retail, internship, academic project, leadership, or related professional experience is preferred.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
- The role is based on-site at the Lowe’s Store Support Center in Mooresville, North Carolina.
- This position does not offer sponsorship.
