About the role#
This 11-week internship provides hands-on experience in managing travel centers, including food service and truck care operations. You will work alongside experienced leaders to learn facility management, team leadership, and customer service. The program focuses on real-world application of business skills to help you prepare for a career in retail management.
What you'll do#
- Participate in hands-on training across store, fuel, food, and truck care operations.
- Drive sales, manage costs, and support store profitability.
- Learn team leadership, staffing, and employee development practices.
- Assist with merchandising, inventory management, and operational standards.
- Collaborate on a cross-functional project with other interns and leaders.
- Gain experience in customer service and issue resolution.
- Enforce safety, compliance, and company policies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a 2- or 4-year degree program.
- Pursuing a degree in business, management, hospitality, or a related field.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to talk, hear, move around, and see clearly to perform job duties.
- Proficiency with computer programs and technology tools.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
