About the role#
The Merchandising Intern will support the team through analysis, reporting, and project work to improve product assortment, pricing, and promotions. You will gain hands-on experience by working with category and cross-functional teams to evaluate business performance and identify opportunities for growth. This is a full-time, paid summer internship based in Oklahoma City.
What you'll do#
- Analyze sales, margin, pricing, and product performance data to identify trends.
- Support category managers with business reviews, vendor discussions, and presentations.
- Conduct market research to identify merchandising trends and customer preferences.
- Partner with teams in Supply Chain, Operations, Marketing, and Finance.
- Develop reports, dashboards, and materials to communicate findings.
- Visit store locations to observe product placement and merchandising standards.
- Complete an assigned internship project and present your recommendations to leadership.
- Participate in training modules, executive Q&A sessions, and community volunteering.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, Business, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to translate data analysis into clear observations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- No prior professional experience is required.
