About the role#
The CW Audit Intern supports the Audit department by assisting with mandated and risk-based audits. This position offers an opportunity to develop professional audit skills while contributing to the evaluation of internal control design and effectiveness.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of internal audits and reviews.
- Create and update documentation for internal controls.
- Perform detail testing for internal audits and the Annual Financial Reporting Model Regulation (AFRMR) project.
- Communicate identified risks and deficiencies to management.
- Present audit recommendations in a professional manner.
What you'll need#
- Current status as a junior or senior undergraduate, Master’s level student, or recent graduate in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or Information Technology.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5, with a 3.0 or higher preferred.
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical, oral, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work 20 hours per week during spring and fall semesters and 30 to 35 hours per week during the summer.
- Preferred qualifications include an Internal Audit specialization, audit-related coursework, and knowledge of Microsoft Access or other IT tools.
Location & details#
- This is a remote position based in Louisiana.
- Residency in or relocation to Louisiana is preferred.
- This is a paid, full-time internship with a rolling term.
