About the role#
This internship program offers a 10-week immersion into the operations of our Portsmouth, New Hampshire site. You will join the Manufacturing Engineering department to provide technical assistance for our process systems. The role balances tactical support for daily plant operations with the strategic implementation of engineering projects. You will gain exposure to plant equipment, automation, and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
What you'll do#
- Support the manufacturing engineering team in meeting their objectives.
- Develop a practical understanding of the engineering function and biologics manufacturing processes.
- Assist with the tactical needs of ongoing plant operations.
- Contribute to the strategic implementation of various engineering projects.
- Provide technical support for plant equipment, automation, and MES.
What you'll need#
- Completion of your junior year (at least 90 credits) toward a B.S. degree in Engineering.
- Current enrollment in a BS or MS academic program.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivation and the ability to work well within a team.
- Proven ability to organize, plan, and execute projects.
- Strong research skills and attention to detail.
Location & details#
- This position is based on-site in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
- The internship runs during the summer of 2027, from May through August.
- This is a full-time position requiring a commitment of at least 40 hours per week.
- This position is paid.
