About the role#
The Employee & Community Relations Intern helps build connections between our staff and the local community. You will assist our coordinator in finding non-profit partnerships, managing volunteer activities, and supporting employee engagement. This role involves representing the company at charitable events and helping us maintain a positive presence both in person and online.
What you'll do#
- Build and maintain relationships with non-profit organizations and community leaders.
- Coordinate employee volunteer activities and help staff participate in local events.
- Represent the company at charitable functions to show our commitment to community service.
- Create and supply social media content to the Corporate Social Media Coordinator to highlight our engagement efforts.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop new ways to give back to the community.
What you'll need#
- Current student pursuing a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Human Resources, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Previous experience in community relations, volunteer coordination, event planning, or employee engagement.
- Experience managing social media platforms and creating content.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects or events at once.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship based on-site in Decatur, Alabama.
- The position follows a rolling term.
