About the role#
Lonestar Electric Supply is seeking an intern to work across various departments. You will gain exposure to the electrical distribution industry while supporting team operations. This role is a chance to learn how our business functions and to gain hands-on experience in a professional environment.
What you'll do#
- Shadow team members across the organization to learn daily duties and partner interactions.
- Provide customer service to internal and external partners, vendors, and logistics professionals.
- Learn sales best practices, including account research and generating interest.
- Receive, verify, and stock electrical products.
- Pull items for orders, check them for accuracy, and wrap them for transport.
- Help with loading and unloading materials.
- Maintain a clean workspace and follow all safety protocols.
- Communicate issues or concerns to management.
What you'll need#
- A high-school diploma or GED.
- Current enrollment in a bachelor degree program in Industrial Distribution, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, General Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Interest in a career within sales, construction, engineering, or electrical distribution.
- Strong work ethic and a self-starting attitude.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to move up to 40 lbs and work in warehouse conditions that may include heat, humidity, and noise.
- Ability to navigate the physical premises and operate office equipment.

- Location: Houston, Texas.
- This is an on-site, full-time, paid internship.
- The program term is rolling.
