About the role#
Lonestar Electric Supply is looking for an intern to work across various departments. You will gain experience in the electrical distribution industry while providing support to the team. This role is a full-time, paid internship with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Shadow associates to learn how the business functions and how to interact with partners and customers.
- Provide customer service to internal teams, external partners, logistics professionals, and vendors.
- Learn sales best practices, including how to close sales and meet monthly quotas.
- Research accounts to identify key contacts and help associates generate interest.
- Receive, verify, and stock products.
- Pull items for orders, check them for accuracy, and wrap them for transport.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while following safety protocols.
- Communicate issues or concerns to management.
What you'll need#
- A High-School Diploma or GED.
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program for Industrial Distribution, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, General Engineering, Business Administration, or a similar field.
- A desire to build a career in sales, construction, engineering, or electrical distribution.
- Strong work ethic and a drive to learn.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to move up to 40 lbs and work in warehouse conditions that may include heat, humidity, or loud noise.
- Ability to operate office equipment and navigate the physical premises.
