About the role#
As an intern at Lonestar Electric Supply, you will rotate through various departments to gain a comprehensive understanding of the electrical distribution industry. You will work alongside experienced associates to learn daily operations, customer interactions, and business processes. This is a full-time, paid internship designed for students interested in building a career in sales, construction, or engineering.
What you'll do#
- Shadow team members across the organization to observe workflows and professional interactions.
- Assist with customer service for internal partners, vendors, and logistics professionals.
- Learn sales techniques, including how to research accounts and identify key contacts.
- Handle warehouse tasks such as receiving, verifying, and stocking electrical products.
- Process orders by pulling items, verifying accuracy, and preparing them for transport.
- Help load and unload materials while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
- Follow all company safety protocols and communicate proactively with management regarding any issues.
What you'll need#
- A high-school diploma or GED.
- Current enrollment in a bachelor degree program for Industrial Distribution, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, General Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A strong work ethic and a desire to learn.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to move up to 40 lbs and work in warehouse conditions that may include heat, humidity, or loud noise.
- Ability to operate office equipment and navigate the physical premises of the company.
