About the role#
Lockton is hiring for a People Solutions Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a 10-week, full-time, paid internship based in Chicago. You will join our People Solutions team to support client service delivery and gain experience in employee benefits consulting. You will work alongside associates, participate in a training program, and receive one-on-one coaching and mentorship to help manage your workload.
What you'll do#
- Support the team with an active book of business for a diverse range of clients.
- Complete a comprehensive training program to learn the fundamentals of employee benefits consulting.
- Assist with benefits renewal analysis and requests for proposals (RFPs).
- Prepare monthly client financial reporting and benchmarking exhibits.
- Present to a client at least once during your internship.
- Gain familiarity with contracts, communication materials, and cost-sharing strategies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student with a graduation date in Spring 2028 or Fall/Winter 2027.
- Legal right to work in the United States.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Experience in customer service or project management.
- Preferred academic backgrounds include Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Statistics, or Public Health, though all majors are welcome to apply.
