About the role#
Lockton is hiring Financial/Actuarial Analyst Interns for a 10-week summer program in Chicago. You will join our Financial team, working directly with Associates to support client service and business solutions. This internship provides training on employee benefits, industry tools, and consulting skills. You will be paired with a mentor to help manage your daily workload and receive coaching throughout the summer.
What you'll do#
- Support teams with an active book of business for various clients.
- Participate in a training program to learn the fundamentals of employee benefits consulting.
- Assist with benefits renewal analysis and requests for proposals (RFPs).
- Prepare monthly client financial reports and benchmarking exhibits.
- Review contracts, communication materials, and cost-sharing strategies.
- Present to a client during at least one meeting.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student having completed your Junior year.
- Expected graduation date in December 2027 or May 2028.
- Major in actuarial science, insurance, statistics, economics, business, or another analytical field.
- Successful completion of actuarial exams is a plus.
- Strong computer skills, specifically with Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively.
- Legal right to work in the United States.
