About the role#
We are hiring a Pharmacy Student to join our team in Toronto. This is a part-time, on-site role with a rolling term. You will work within our pharmacy department, focusing on automation, inventory management, and prescription preparation.
What you'll do#
- Generate automation reports and manage workflow using Kroll pharmacy management software.
- Package medications into unit dose pouches using automation machines, including performing maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Maintain pharmacy inventory at pre-specified levels and place orders for supplies or specialty items.
- Assist with inventory pre-count preparation and support inventory count vendors.
- Action drug recalls and secure alternatives when products are unavailable.
- Prepare packages for shipment by investigating and troubleshooting orders to ensure timely delivery.
- Prepare medication orders for patients, including labeling products, creating blister packs, and mixing medications.
What you'll need#
- Post-secondary education and a willingness to learn.
- Previous pharmacy experience, specifically within Long Term Care settings.
- Proficiency with Kroll software.
- Strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team and adapt to different departments as needed.
- High attention to detail and the ability to solve problems and make decisions.
- Physical ability to manoeuvre quickly and consistently for extended periods.
- Candidates 18 years or older must complete a criminal background check.
Location & details#
- Location: 11 Redway Rd, Toronto, Ontario.
- Pay: $20.90 - $28.60 per hour, based on experience and knowledge.
