About the role#
As a DevOps Co-Op, you will join our engineering team to work on mission-critical projects. You will receive the same orientation training as our full-time engineers, be matched with a mentor, and contribute production code during your term. Co-ops range from 12 to 24 weeks in length.
What you'll do#
- Design, build, and deploy infrastructure tools including Kubernetes clusters, networks, and databases.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to enable self-service environments.
- Maintain and enhance CI/CD tooling and Terraform scripts to improve deployment efficiency.
- Implement and harden operational tooling for observability, including metrics, logs, and traces.
- Create runbooks and documentation to support the tech stack and tools.
- Collaborate with technical, application, and security teams to deliver reliable database infrastructure.
- Participate in on-call responsibilities to triage incidents and ensure systems meet availability and performance standards.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Interest or experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or infrastructure-focused work.
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tooling such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Experience or interest in at least one major cloud provider, including AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Background in Linux systems, containers, and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with observability stacks and scripting or programming languages like Python, Go, or Bash.
- Ability to participate in an on-call rotation and lead incident response.
