About the role#
Insomniac Events is looking for a motivated Legal Intern to join our team in Calabasas, California. This is a paid internship for the Winter 2027 term. You will report to the VP of Business and Legal Affairs and gain exposure to the practical application of law within the live entertainment industry. This is an on-site position requiring a commitment of 16 to 29 hours per week.
What you'll do#
- Learn how laws and regulations are applied and implemented in a real-world setting.
- Prepare, review, analyze, and finalize transactional documents.
- Analyze issues related to the development of production and programming.
- Perform general research relating to our business operations.
- Work in an open-concept office space and occasionally travel to event sites.
What you'll need#
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Currently enrolled as a rising 2L or 3L at an accredited law school.
- Completed undergraduate or graduate coursework in contracts, copyright, or entertainment/media law.
- Previous industry experience is a plus.
- A motivated, proactive attitude and an active problem-solving approach.
- Knowledge of dance music and Insomniac brands.
- Ability to work in environments with loud noise levels and varying temperatures when on-site.
- Must possess valid work authorization for the United States.
