About the role#
Live! Casino & Hotel Virginia is hiring current table games dealer school students in Petersburg. This is a full-time, paid position for individuals who are at least 21 years old. You will work on-site in a high-energy environment that includes exposure to cigarette and cigar smoke, alcohol, and loud noises.
What you'll do#
- Manage table games by dealing cards and monitoring all money on the table.
- Control gaming equipment and cards throughout your shift.
- Pay out wins and collect losses according to game rules.
- Protect company assets by observing customer behavior for cheating, scams, or suspicious play.
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for all guests and staff members.
What you'll need#
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- At least 6 months of experience as a casino dealer or a certificate from an accredited dealer school.
- Proficiency in dealing at least two of the following games: Black Jack, Craps, or Roulette.
- The ability to secure and maintain a license from the Virginia Gaming Control Board.
- Physical ability to stand for 75% of your shift and perform repetitive hand motions.
- While not required, familiarity with Business Administration, Mathematics, or Psychology is helpful for this role.
