About the role#
The University Marketing Video Production Intern supports the creative team in producing video content for the university website, social media, and various institutional channels. This role involves collaborating with partners across the organization to ensure all media aligns with university branding and goals. The position requires a commitment of 10 hours per week and may be eligible for Federal Work Study.
What you'll do#
- Conceptualize, storyboard, write, and produce scripts as part of the University Marketing creative staff.
- Create video content for digital platforms and promotional use, utilizing current media technology.
- Manage the full production lifecycle, including project direction for shooting, editing, and duplication, as well as timeline management.
- Oversee social media projects from initial planning through final measurement.
- Document on- and off-campus events using professional videography equipment.
- Assist the Marketing Videography Producer in developing web and digital media content.
What you'll need#
- Proficiency with Macintosh OS X and related systems.
- Experience with audio and video editing software, specifically Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Audition.
- Competency in desktop publishing applications including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Apple iWork (Pages, Numbers, Keynote).
- Strong project management skills with a proven ability to meet set goals and multitask.
- A solid understanding of communication and marketing principles, with the ability to apply technical tools to achieve specific marketing outcomes.
- Ability to adapt to new software and technologies as they emerge.
