About the role#
The University Marketing Video Production Intern works with the creative staff to produce video content for university websites, social media, and other digital channels. This student worker role focuses on implementing video and interactive content that aligns with university goals and brand values.
What you'll do#
- Conceptualize, storyboard, write, and produce video scripts.
- Create video content for digital properties using current technology.
- Provide project direction for shooting, editing, and duplication, including timeline management.
- Manage social media projects from initial planning through measurement.
- Document on-campus and off-campus events using professional videography equipment.
- Assist the Marketing Videography Producer in developing web and digital media content.
- Use design and media technology to visually communicate ideas.
What you'll need#
- Proficiency with Macintosh OS X and related systems.
- Experience with video and audio editing software, specifically Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Audition.
- Proficiency with desktop publishing applications including Microsoft Office suite and Apple iWork.
- Understanding of marketing and communication principles.
- Ability to manage projects, meet goals, and multitask in a changing environment.
- Capacity to learn new software and technologies as needed.
- Pursuing a degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Media Studies, or Graphic Design.
Location & details#
- Location: Nashville, Tennessee.
- Modality: On-site.
- Commitment: 10 hours per week.
- Compensation: $10 per hour (Federal Work Study eligible).
