About the role#
Link Logistics is hiring a Credit Risk Summer Intern for our Chicago office. This is a 10-week paid internship focused on credit analysis and portfolio monitoring. You will gain hands-on experience with commercial real estate, tenant underwriting, and risk management. This role is a fit if you enjoy working with financial data, identifying trends, and writing clear business recommendations.
What you'll do#
- Analyze borrower and tenant financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Conduct initial credit reviews and prepare concise written credit summaries.
- Calculate and monitor key financial metrics, credit indicators, and covenant compliance.
- Review public filings, industry data, and other sources to support credit assessments.
- Maintain accurate customer financial records and assist with ongoing portfolio monitoring.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, or a related field.
- Expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Foundational knowledge of financial statement analysis and corporate finance concepts.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and written communication skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple priorities in a professional environment.
- Prior internship, research, coursework, or project experience in finance, banking, commercial real estate, or accounting is preferred.
- Demonstrated interest in credit underwriting, risk management, or commercial real estate.
