About the role#
Lindsay Corporation is seeking a Cybersecurity Intern to join the team in Omaha. This part-time role offers hands-on technical experience within the cybersecurity field. You will work alongside Cyber Security Engineers, receive mentorship, and contribute to projects that address real-world technical challenges.
What you'll do#
- Monitor systems to detect security events and incidents in real time.
- Analyze data from multiple security sources.
- Respond to incidents, contain threats, and identify strategies for eradication.
- Suggest process improvements and explore new security technologies.
- Provide incident status updates to engineering teams and managers.
- Participate in knowledge sharing across the department.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Computer Science or Cybersecurity program.
- Knowledge of Information Security principles gained through coursework, personal projects, or previous work.
- Understanding of security technologies like firewalls, endpoint protection, and application vulnerabilities.
- Familiarity with tools used for incident response, forensics, and security operations.
- Ability to identify issues, analyze data from various sources, and write clear, concise technical reports.
- Strong communication skills to share information with different audiences.
- Self-directed work habits and the ability to manage multiple tasks independently or within a team.

- This position is based on-site in Omaha, Nebraska.
- The role is part-time and operates on a rolling term.
- This is a paid internship.
