About the role#
Lincoln Plastics is hiring a Maintenance Technician Intern to assist with the upkeep of our production machinery and facility equipment. This is a part-time, on-site role. You will work 16 to 20 hours per week, specifically from 4pm to 8pm, Monday through Friday.
What you'll do#
- Perform emergency and unscheduled repairs on production equipment to keep lines running.
- Complete scheduled maintenance tasks as needed.
- Execute routine preventive maintenance checks.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Handle various building maintenance tasks both inside and outside the plant.
- Maintain a clean work area while following ISO and OSHA safety guidelines.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Mechanical or Electrical engineering degree program, or at least one year of equivalent work experience.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office software.
- Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds frequently.
- Physical capability to crouch, crawl, climb ladders, and work at various heights.
- Good communication, organization, and basic math skills.
- Knowledge of Lean, 5S, and Total Productive Maintenance is a plus.

- Location: Lincoln, Nebraska.
- Schedule: 16 to 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 4pm to 8pm.
- This is a paid internship.
