About the role#
The Summer 2027 Internship Program provides hands-on experience in Human Resources. You will work on projects aligned with your academic background, receive mentorship from experienced professionals, and gain exposure to HR functions. This 12-week program focuses on enhancing the employee experience and contributing to our workplace culture.
What you'll do#
- Support onboarding and orientation activities for new team members.
- Assist with employee engagement initiatives and on-site programs.
- Maintain and update employee records while supporting policy compliance.
- Create and distribute benefits communication materials.
- Support 401(k) audit activities and administrative tasks.
- Assist with HR projects focused on process improvement and operational effectiveness.
- Collaborate with the HR team on day-to-day activities and special projects.
- Attend team meetings and professional development sessions.
- Contribute to a business-critical project supporting HR objectives.
- Partner with fellow interns on a cross-functional case study project to present to senior leaders.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a full-time bachelor's degree program with an expected graduation date in 2028 or 2029.
- Pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, Psychology, Communications, or a related field.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2 preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to collaborate within diverse teams.
- A mindset focused on continuous improvement and innovation.
- Interest in talent management, benefits, HR operations, or organizational development.
Location & details#
- Location: Rosemont, Illinois.
- Work Modality: Hybrid (must be local to the Chicagoland area and able to work on-site as required).
- Duration: 12 weeks, Summer 2027.
- Employment Type: Full-time.
- Compensation: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour, plus overtime eligibility.
- Benefits: Eligible for paid holidays and sick leave as outlined by law.
