Job Description: Provide support as directed by designated supervisor.Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesWork under your supervisor to fulfill the duties given to you.Work evenings and weekends as needed to fulfill your duties and responsibilities.Complete required trainings as needed: SafeSport, Title IX, Clery Act, IT Security training, etc.Manage and oversee staff as assigned.Assign duties, create schedule, and ensure accountability to work completed.Work Concessions dates during needed times throughout the year.Remains abreast of existing and emerging technologies, processes, products, services and leading industry performance benchmarks.Works effectively as a team member, embracing and fostering LU’s missionWork to enhance the Club Sports programs and uphold the mission and values of Club SportsWork in office setting and outdoors.Have a flexible attitude and work ethic in order to work as a team and individualAdditional information on Work study may be found here.Supervisory Responsibilities:0 – 25 work study students based upon specific role.Qualifications and CredentialsEducation and ExperienceFour-year college degree, with a concentration in Business Development, Education, Sports Administration, 1 + years in a office environment functioning. Accepted into, or currently enrolled in a Liberty master’s programStrong experience required in academic development with knowledge of a variety of sports teams functional requirements.Well-developed communications skills both verbally and written.Essential Abilities and CompetenciesCommunication and ComprehensionAbility to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing to convey clear, well-articulated information.Ability to understand, speak, and write English to convey messages and correspond articulately and professionally.Possess public communication skills that allow for a professional representation of Liberty University.Strong organizational skills.Excellent computer skills.Problem SolvingIntuitively able to reason, analyze information and events, and apply judgment to solve problems of both a routine and complex nature.Physical and Sensory AbilitiesOccasionally required to travel to local and campus locations.Frequently required to sit for extended periods to perform deskwork or type on a keyboard.Regularly required to hear and speak to effectively communicate orally.Occasionally required to stand, walk, and climb stairs to move about the building.Handle materials, reach overhead, kneel, or stoop to conduct business.Regularly lift 50 or fewer pounds.Working ConditionsWork EnvironmentThe working environment in which one will typically perform the essential functions of this position is a climate-controlled office setting.  It is well lit, and the noise level is moderate. At times, outside duties lifting heavy items, 50+ lbs.., are needed in various temperatures.
