About the role#
The Sales Intern will participate in comprehensive training to gain exposure to LexisNexis Risk Solutions. You will help build qualified sales opportunities for Sales Executives through research, outreach, and lead development. This role involves hands-on experience with consultative selling, customer engagement, and sales operations. You will create prospect lists, conduct outreach via phone and email, and attend client calls to support the sales team.
What you'll do#
- Research and develop target accounts through outbound phone and email campaigns.
- Qualify prospective customers by identifying business needs, challenges, and key decision-makers.
- Collaborate with Sales Executives to schedule discovery meetings and advance opportunities.
- Convert marketing leads into sales opportunities by engaging prospective customers.
- Use CRM software to record activities, route leads, and manage processes.
- Participate in training exercises to build selling skills and product knowledge.
- Deliver a professional experience for prospects while improving your technical presentation skills.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program for marketing, business, professional selling, or a related field.
- Expected graduation date of May 2028.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for professional engagement.
- Ability to research, analyze information, and identify business opportunities.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple priorities.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a collaborative mindset.
- Prior experience with sales, prospecting, CRM systems, or customer-facing roles is a plus.
Location & details#
- Location: On-site in Alpharetta, Georgia.
- Term: Summer 2027 (May 24 to July 30).
- Employment: Full-time internship.
- Compensation: $20 per hour.
- Note: This position is not eligible for benefits and does not offer sponsorship.
