About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience within the Corporate Accounting team at Lennox. You will support key financial processes and gain exposure to corporate accounting practices, internal controls, and financial systems. You will work alongside team members to deliver accurate financial support throughout the summer.
What you'll do#
- Support month-end close activities, including journal entry analysis, preparation, and validation.
- Prepare and complete balance sheet reconciliations and supporting documentation.
- Perform financial analysis and data validation.
- Contribute to the documentation, evaluation, and enhancement of accounting processes and internal controls.
- Provide support for reporting and process automation.
- Lead a designated summer project, culminating in a presentation of your findings, insights, and recommendations to the team.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to organize, analyze, and reconcile financial data.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
- Curiosity and a willingness to learn.
- Exposure to SAP or other ERP systems is preferred.
- Experience with data analysis, reporting, or process automation is a plus.
- Understanding of fundamental accounting principles and internal controls.
- Previous internship, office, finance, or accounting-related experience is helpful.
