About the role#
This is a paid, full-time student position for individuals currently enrolled in an accredited radiological technology program. You will work on-site in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, performing radiologic imaging under the supervision of a registered technologist. This role focuses on gaining practical experience while maintaining safety standards and patient care.
What you'll do#
- Perform diagnostic quality imaging while following radiation safety guidelines.
- Prepare and process images for radiologist interpretation.
- Verify that exams are correctly ordered and attached to the appropriate patient files.
- Maintain equipment by reporting malfunctions and requesting necessary repairs.
- Ensure your work area remains clean and organized for patient safety.
- Document required information, including patient history and exam details.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Current enrollment in an approved school of radiological technology as a second-year student with completed competencies.
- Ability to handle confidential medical information with ethics and care.
- Capability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks like bending, kneeling, and standing for long periods.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification for the State of Pennsylvania, to be obtained within 30 days of hire.
