About the role#
Leadbay is looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to join our team in San Francisco. This role is designed for individuals who are both technically capable and socially skilled. You will work directly with our founders to help sales teams solve complex qualification problems by building custom, agentic workflows. This position is ideal for early-career professionals who prefer shipping functional solutions over waiting for perfect processes.
What you'll do#
- Land small accounts through 30-minute calls and assist large accounts by building custom workflows in their offices.
- Develop necessary features and integrations within our MCP (Model Context Protocol) product.
- Use the Leadbay platform to act as a highly efficient sales representative.
- Meet with self-serve users to gather feedback and ship agentic systems.
- Build a library of successful workflows and technical knowledge to help scale account growth.
- Interact directly with VPs, C-level executives, and CEOs to understand and support their growth strategies.
What you'll need#
- Proficiency in Python and the ability to code effectively.
- Strong social skills and comfort interacting with senior leadership.
- Experience building AI skills or working on side projects.
- A preference for shipping functional code quickly rather than waiting for long-term perfection.
- Ability to solve problems independently and make judgment calls without constant oversight.
- Academic background in Computer Science, Business Administration, Data Science, Marketing, or Communications.
