About the role#
The IT Operations Co-op role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting employees and learning how corporate IT functions within a growing technology company. You will work alongside the IT team to support day-to-day operations, including device management, identity administration, and service desk support. This position is ideal for a student interested in systems administration, IT support, and workplace technology.
What you'll do#
- Respond to day-to-day IT support requests through the service desk.
- Troubleshoot common laptop, account, application, and access issues.
- Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding activities.
- Create and update Google Workspace accounts, groups, and permissions under supervision.
- Prepare, configure, and deploy laptops for new employees.
- Assist with laptop returns, inventory updates, and device decommissioning.
- Create and update help articles, setup instructions, and troubleshooting guides.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in an Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related program.
- Basic understanding of computers and common workplace applications.
- Strong interest in IT support and cloud applications.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Clear communication skills when interacting with employees.
- Strong attention to detail and a willingness to document work.
