About the role#
LaSalle Investment Management is seeking two interns for the Summer 2027 Rotational Internship program in Chicago. This program provides exposure to various business functions and asset classes, including office, industrial, retail, and multifamily property investments. You will rotate through the Asset Management, Research & Strategy, and Transactions teams while working with different team members on multiple projects.
What you'll do#
- Perform financial analyses, including Argus valuation models, Excel-based underwriting pro-formas, cash flow projections, and sensitivity analyses.
- Review and analyze potential leases and their financial impact on investments.
- Shadow analysts in the development of annual operating budgets and quarterly re-forecasts.
- Provide analytical support to colleagues in fund operations and asset management.
- Analyze and interpret macroeconomic and real estate market data.
- Conduct in-depth research on a specialized topic and produce a final report.
- Assist with client reporting and the preparation of investment memoranda for the Investment Committee.
- Support team members with evaluating and underwriting potential acquisitions.
- Collaborate with fellow interns on the 2027 capstone project.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Business, Commerce, Economics, or Real Estate.
- Status as a rising senior.
- A strong record of academic achievement.
- Demonstrated interest in commercial real estate, private equity, finance, or investment management.
- Working knowledge of economic and financial concepts.
- Excellent analytical, research, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to self-motivate, deliver results, and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Basic knowledge of Argus is preferred but not required.
