About the role#
The National Transportation Intern supports our logistics team by analyzing network data, monitoring performance, and optimizing transportation flows. You will contribute to strategic initiatives, including the implementation of a new Transportation Management System (TMS), load consolidation projects, and the development of standardized transportation processes.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the rollout of the new TMS by gathering freight data, establishing user SOPs, and monitoring system performance.
- Create a freight specification database organized by customer and business unit.
- Analyze order patterns to propose optimized load builds.
- Run analyses for multi-site load consolidation projects and support execution.
- Conduct a study on the ambient logistics network to recommend efficiency improvements.
- Establish KPI reporting and follow-up mechanisms.
- Collaborate with specialists on daily load planning and vendor management activities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a university degree program for Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience in quantitative applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work within structured timelines and manage priorities effectively.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work across functional groups.
- Proficiency with standard office technology, including Microsoft Outlook and Teams.
