About the role#
Labcorp is seeking an intern to join our Genomics Team in Indianapolis for the summer of 2027. This is a full-time, paid position running from June 1, 2027, to August 13, 2027. You will work on-site to gain hands-on experience in laboratory science and clinical trial testing.
What you'll do#
- Perform testing to evaluate assay or instrument performance characteristics.
- Learn about different genomics platforms and how they support clinical trial testing.
- Work with both validation, development, and production teams to understand the scale of our testing operations.
- Document test results and present your research findings at the end of the assignment.
- Participate in training sessions and apply new skills to your daily tasks.
What you'll need#
- Working towards a bachelor’s degree in genomics, biology, chemistry, physics, lab science, or a related field.
- Experience delivering projects in an academic or professional setting.
- Ability to work independently under general supervision and collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to following laboratory procedures.
- A genuine interest in laboratory science and an eagerness to learn new concepts.
- Professionalism, including punctuality and appropriate conduct.

Location & details#
- Location: Indianapolis, Indiana.
- Term: Summer 2027 (11 weeks).
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week.
