About the role#
Labcorp is seeking an intern to join the Enterprise Infrastructure team. You will work on database administration tasks for AWS Aurora PostgreSQL and on-premises PostgreSQL environments. This is a full-time, paid position during the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Assist with database administration, monitoring, and maintenance tasks.
- Support performance tuning, capacity planning, and optimization.
- Participate in provisioning, backup, recovery, patching, and upgrades.
- Help troubleshoot database issues and resolve incidents.
- Write and maintain automation scripts for operational processes.
- Support Infrastructure as Code initiatives using Terraform.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams on deployment automation using UrbanCode Deploy.
- Manage source code and version control using Bitbucket.
- Document technical solutions, processes, and procedures.
- Participate in cloud modernization and database migration projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, or Information Systems.
- Preference for rising juniors and seniors.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week.
