About the role#
You will work with engineers across various departments to support system solutions projects and evaluate ruggedized Line Replaceable Units. This role involves direct participation in qualification testing for Wescam products alongside the Test Engineering team. You will need to manage multiple assignments and work independently to move tasks forward.
What you'll do#
- Develop, document, and execute detailed test procedures for hardware and software functionality.
- Write thorough test reports to document results from your own tests and those performed by others.
- Use electronic equipment to collect and analyze data for reports and performance investigations.
- Organize, coordinate, and track the compliance status of requirement verification activities.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelors or Advanced degree program in Engineering or Science.
- Ability to commit to a 16 month Co-Op term (12 month terms are occasionally available).
- Proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Experience with programming environments such as Matlab, Python, LabVIEW, or C#.
- A solid understanding of both Mechanical and Electrical engineering principles.
- Strong problem solving skills and the ability to coordinate interdepartmental efforts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with electro-mechanical systems, optics, or laser devices is an asset.
