About the role#
As a Software Engineer Intern at L3Harris Technologies, you will work on software development for tactical radio equipment. You will apply computer science and engineering concepts to build systems that integrate hardware and software. This is a full-time, paid position based on-site in Palm Bay, Florida.
What you'll do#
- Develop and evaluate interfaces between hardware and software systems.
- Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle, from requirements analysis to testing.
- Create software test procedures, programs, and technical documentation.
- Use modeling tools to establish operating data and evaluate system results.
- Join peer reviews to identify, track, and fix software defects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field at an accredited university.
- A solid understanding of the software development life cycle.
- Experience with programming languages such as C++, C#, C, Java, or Python.
Location & details#
- Location: Palm Bay, Florida.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: 9/80 schedule, which includes working 80 hours over 9 days with every other Friday off.
