About the role#
L3Harris Technologies is hiring a Software Engineering Intern in Fort Wayne, Indiana. This is a full-time, paid internship with a rolling start date. You will work on-site and follow a 9/80 schedule, which includes every other Friday off.
What you'll do#
- Apply computer science, engineering, and mathematical principles to develop software for target applications.
- Work with cross-functional teams to build and evaluate interfaces between hardware and software.
- Participate in the full software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and testing of embedded software for tactical radio equipment.
- Create software test procedures, programs, and supporting documentation.
- Use modeling tools and equipment to gather operating data, run experimental tests, and evaluate results.
- Take part in peer reviews to identify, track, and fix software defects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field at an accredited university.
- Experience with programming languages such as C++, C#, C, or Java.
- An understanding of software development life cycle phases.
