About the role#
As a Software Engineering Intern, you will apply computer science and engineering principles to develop software for target applications. You will work with cross-functional engineering teams to evaluate hardware and software interfaces, operational requirements, and system design. This position involves working on embedded software for real-time control of tactical radio equipment.
What you'll do#
- Support all phases of the software development life cycle, from requirements analysis and design to implementation and testing.
- Develop software test procedures, programs, and documentation.
- Use modeling tools and equipment to establish operating data and conduct experimental tests.
- Participate in peer reviews to identify, track, and repair software defects.
- Work with various languages and platforms, including C++, C, Java, Python, and Linux, across embedded real-time operating systems.
What you'll need#
- You must be currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field at an accredited university.
Location & details#
- This position is based in Palm Bay, Florida.
- Work is on-site.
- This is a full-time, paid internship with a rolling term.
- The work schedule follows a 9/80 model, where you work 80 hours over 9 days in a 14-day period with every other Friday off.
