About the role#
Montgomery Investment Technology, Inc. is hiring a Software Developer Intern for the Summer 2026 term. This role is for undergraduate or graduate students who want practical experience in finance, data analysis, and software development. You will work on financial calculators, valuation tools, and machine learning research.
What you'll do#
- Research Python programming for financial modeling, data analysis, and machine learning.
- Develop JavaScript for an MS Excel add-in.
- Build and maintain cloud applications with a focus on efficiency.
- Document procedures for all systems and models you develop.
- Manage WordPress development and track SEO performance metrics.
- Explore data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns.
What you'll need#
- Working knowledge of Python, JavaScript, and software version control.
- Exposure to CSS or a web UI framework.
- Ability to use Python libraries like Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, and the Google Analytics API client library.
- Strong math and modeling skills.
- Ability to work autonomously with good organizational and time management habits.
