About the role#
Kroll is looking for an intern to join the Global Mergers & Acquisitions team in Chicago. You will gain hands-on experience by supporting middle-market companies through sellside, buyside, and capital raising transactions. This role involves working closely with senior management on both healthy and distressed deal situations.
What you'll do#
- Support senior management teams and interact with clients, board members, and stakeholders during all phases of transaction advisory.
- Assist with financial modeling and analytics for M&A, restructuring, and special situations.
- Draft situation analyses, pitch materials, information memoranda, management presentations, and term sheets.
- Conduct research and due diligence on companies, industries, markets, and competitors.
- Help develop and communicate proposals and advice for clients.
- Maintain data rooms, coordinate management meetings, and facilitate communication between deal teams and potential buyers or sellers.
- Ensure the quality of all client deliverables.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Economics.
- Completion of at least four Junior or Senior level courses in Accounting, Economics, or Finance.
- Expected graduation date between December 2027 and August 2028.
- A minimum major GPA of 3.2.
- Strong proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent quantitative, writing, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with senior professionals and manage multiple tasks in a team setting.
- Demonstrated leadership experience and personal integrity.
- Ability to obtain or hold FINRA Series 79, 63, and 7 certifications.
- Current authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
