About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will focus on providing great service to our customers and keeping the pharmacy environment safe and clean. You will work under the guidance of our pharmacists to support daily operations, help reach department goals, and ensure we meet all quality assurance standards.
What you'll do#
- Assist customers by answering questions about products and providing drug counseling.
- Input patient and prescription information into our computer system.
- Dispense medications and manage prescription fills and refills.
- Contact prescribers and insurance companies to resolve issues for customers.
- Provide immunizations under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
- Manage pharmacy inventory by stocking orders and returning unused stock.
- Maintain a clean workspace and report any safety risks or incidents to management.
- Help customers with over-the-counter medication recommendations.
- Interact with a diverse range of customers, including minors and older adults, with care and respect.
What you'll need#
- You must be actively enrolled in a US school of pharmacy.
- A current state-issued Pharmacy Intern license is required.
- Ability to work cooperatively in a busy environment.
- Capacity to manage conflict in a calm and professional way.
- Commitment to honesty and integrity when handling customer and business information.
- Ability to follow directions and ask for help when needed.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

- This position is located in Tucson, Arizona.
- This is a paid, part-time, on-site role with rolling terms.
