About the role#
As a Pharmacy Student Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in a retail pharmacy setting. You will work under the guidance of a registered pharmacist or preceptor to provide patient care and support pharmacy operations. This role is designed for students who want to build relationships with patients and contribute to community health.
What you'll do#
- Perform all tasks under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Process and fill prescriptions while following all laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Advise customers and health care professionals on drug therapy, over-the-counter medications, and health products.
- Participate in clinical services, including immunizations, vaccinations, MTM, and point-of-care testing.
- Support pharmacy profitability by implementing company initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student in an accredited school of pharmacy.
- A valid state intern license, if required by Montana regulations.
- Ability to work as a productive member of a team.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing work priorities and schedules.
