About the role#
This is a part-time, paid internship within the Security Operations Center. You will work alongside our team to monitor, triage, and respond to security events across various client environments. This role offers exposure to real-world security tools, processes, and managed security services.
What you'll do#
- Monitor, review, and triage security alerts and incidents.
- Work with both cloud and on-premise security technologies.
- Assist with investigations into phishing, malware, suspicious logins, and policy violations.
- Document your findings, actions, and next steps in the ticketing system.
- Escalate events according to established SOC procedures.
What you'll need#
- You are a rising junior or senior in college.
- You are pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- You have a strong interest in information security.
- You possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- You demonstrate analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- You have a basic understanding of security concepts like authentication, access controls, malware, and phishing.
Location & details#
- This is a remote position.
- You must reside in one of the following states: Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Vermont, DC, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Ohio, or Washington.
- The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 2:30 pm Eastern Standard Time.
- The hourly rate is $17.00.
